Joram Blomkwist (1979) is a still-life photographer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His father worked as an setdresser for film and television where Blomkwist spended lots of times in studios and on filmsets. Influenced by this he went to the school for Art Direction. After his graduation Blomkwist assisted national and international photographers. During these years his interests went from advertising photography (frontside) more to picture the backside of our consumption.
Nowadays next to his commercial assignments Blomkwist is researching, collecting and photographing consumed or destructing objects, showing the results of human action.
